Surroundings

Undervelier is situated at the foot of the picturesque Gorges du Pichoux and the Franches Montagnes. It is surrounded by protected countryside where some rare orchids grow. There is a lot of wild life in the area and it is quite common to observe roe deer. The two medieval cities St. Ursanne and Porrentruy are within easy driving distance as is the river Doubs situated in the heart of a nature reserve. Bigger cities like Biel, La Chaux-de-Fonds, Basel, Neuchâtel are not more than one hour’s drive away. You can also reach us by using public transport.
